I put these pages together to share some of the information, artwork, and tricks I have aquired over my short time on the internet/www. I truly hope they help. I am incorperating as many animations, graphics and backgrounds as possible to conserve space and to show possibilities. Take any you like by right clicking your mouse (Win95) and save as....
Enjoy yourself!

  Finding a location

There are a number of "free web sites" to place personal pages. Here are links to a few that I use and my experiences with them.
http://www2.fortunecity.com/ found these pages with the most space, 10 mb, but lots of growing pains, downtime, etc. But the future looks good!
http://www.tripod.com/planet/membership/signup/ 5mb of space, but has popup window ads, the plus is, no ads on your page.
http://www.geocities.com/  3mb of space, never seems to be a problem, lots of help and extras.
http://www.xoom.com/  5mb of space but a ftp program is needed to upload, modify, etc. Tons of downloads, graphics, etc.
HTML
Personally, I use Netscape to "rough out" the pages, then do any refinements in actual HTML.
I have Adobe PageMill, Frontpage, and a few other HTML editors, but am still trying to figure out why so many steps are needed to do something so simple.
My first pages were done in plain HTML in notepad and refined as I learned. You can click the animation below to see my first page. It has been modified a few times, but is essentially just plain HTML. For newbies, if you find a page you like the layout of on the web, you can copy the source file (in Netscape it's view, page source, highlight, ctrl-c to copy) and paste it to notebook and modify it from there. However, DO NOT copy a page and use it in it's original form. Most people don't mind if you use their format, just don't duplicate the page.

  On-line classes
There are more, but I have only gone to these two.

Virtual University I took a beginners class here, way back when it was free! Very reasonable and has on-line classes, using IRC.
ZDnet University Not very expensive, but all classes require a textbook they sell you. Lots of courses!
